Wow. It's been a while since I updated, huh? Trying out this free Journal Skin thingy. It's fun.

So, yeah. I've just returned from the USA. Been in Georgia, ya'll! It was very pretty, with beautiful weather, awesome food and good friends. I got home yesterday afternoon, after 36 hours of awakeness and 28 hours of travelling. I ate dinner then slept for a solid fourteen or so hours, which I hope has killed the jetlag somewhat, although I now find myself wanting dinner at 11.45pm.

I was there for another wedding. A couple who met at vet school got married on Saturday. It was wonderful, the ceremony was sweet, the dress was stunning and the reception was great fun. I got to catch up with Matt and Angie (the newly weds), Britt and Drew, Neil, Sarah and Maria, Ben, and everyones families. I was sad to say bye, cause now the wedding is over, I don't know for sure when I'll be able to see them all again. But it was wonderful to spend the few days with them. I even got a little tan!

I had a lot of fun in duty free on the way back, although I made the stupid mistake of buying a bottle of Jack D in Atlanta Airport. It would have been fine if I was getting off at London, but stupid me didn't think about the liquid restrictions and the fact that I would be passing through security again when I was heading for my connecting flight to Glasgow. But, thankfully the nice guy at security let me check in my hand-luggage (which was free because I had a 2 check bag allowance, and I'd only checked one suitcase), with the bottle in it. I still had a handbag for all the essentials. So I got home with all of my awesome duty free. Couldn't believe how many people were silly enough to have put liquids in their hand baggage between flights though. My dad made that mistake last year, with a bottle of water.

I bought loads of chocolate though, since it's very difficult to satisfy a Hershey's craving in the UK, since it's sold so infrequently. I grabbed it while I could. I also found more of the fancy M&Ms Premiums I first got in Vegas, which are not out over here either. All in all, it was a productive airport shopping trip.

Now it's back to the doldrums of unemployment and cold wet weather. *sigh*
